Frozen Orange Dessert

Ingredients

  • Juice and rind of 2 large oranges
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg yokes
  • 1 cup whipped canned milk
  • vanilla
  • small amount of sugar
  • 2 beaten egg whites

Directions

  1. Cook orange juice, sugar and egg yolks. Cool and add:milk, vanilla, sugar, egg whites. Put graham cracker crumbs in pan, and pour orange mixture overtop.
  2. Freeze at least 3 hours.

Frozen Citrus Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 oz.) lemonade frozen concentrate
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream softened
  • 3 ½ cups thawed whipped topping
  • food colouring if desired
  • 1 prepared graham cracker pie crust

Directions

  1. Place concentrate in large mixing owl and beat about 30 seconds. Gradually spoon in ice cream and blend. Fold in whipped topping and food colouring, whipping until smooth. Spoon into pie crust. Freeze until firm at least 4 hours. Store in freezer.

Foamy Lemon Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1.4 c sifted flour
  • 2 lemons, rind and juice (1/3 cup)

Directions

  1. Heat butter in milk until melted
  2. Beat egg whites stiff, beat in ¼ of sugar, add salt
  3. Beat egg yolks, beat in remaining sugar, stir in flour and fruit juice and rind, blend in milk and butter
  4. fold in egg whites, pour into custard cups or shallow 1 quart casserole
  5. Oven poach at 325 degrees for 30 min. for custard cups, 45 min. for casserole. ( Put in shallow pan with water in it)

Death by Chocolate

Ingredients

  • german chocolate cake mix
  • 3.5 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 2/3 cup milk
  • ¾ cup strong brewed coffee (kahlua)
  • 12 oz whipping cream
  • 6 ox choc toffee bits.

Directions

  1. Bake cake according to package directions
  2. Mix pudding mix and milk
  3. In tall trifle bowl, layer, pieces of cake. Kahlua, pudding toffee bits and whipping cream, ending with the whipping cream . You should have 2 -3 layers of each ingredient.

Crazy Crust Apple Pie

1 pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2/3 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Mix altogether. Spread batter in 10 inch deep pie pan.
  2. Carefully spoon filling in center of batter (Suggested fillings, apple, cherry, pumpkin, mincemeat)
  3. Do not stir
  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
