Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 eggs separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1.4 c sifted flour
- 2 lemons, rind and juice (1/3 cup)
Directions
- Heat butter in milk until melted
- Beat egg whites stiff, beat in ¼ of sugar, add salt
- Beat egg yolks, beat in remaining sugar, stir in flour and fruit juice and rind, blend in milk and butter
- fold in egg whites, pour into custard cups or shallow 1 quart casserole
- Oven poach at 325 degrees for 30 min. for custard cups, 45 min. for casserole. ( Put in shallow pan with water in it)
