Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups peeled, slice granny smith apples
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (opt)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. (160 C) Grease a 9 X 13 pan. Cream together butter, salt and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon, mix well. Add apple slices and nuts. Mixture is quite thick – Don’t be snitching any dough! Spread evenly in pan and bake for 35-40 min. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
