Shorbread

I don’t know where this recipe came from.  Egg is very unusual in shortbread

Yield

3-4 dozen

Ingredients

  • ½ lb. butter ( 1 cup)
  • 1 egg old
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • Enough flour to handle without sticking to fingers

Directions

  1. Roll into balls, put on cookie sheet, press down lightly. No baking time, but I would presume a low over 275-300 for 10 minutes or so
