Brown Sugar – Rita McKibbon

- 1 lb. butter fairly soft
- Beat until light. Add ½ tsp soda and beat carefully. Add 1 packed cup brown sugar, and continue beating.
- Slowly add, and beat well, 4 cups flour
- Pat to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter.
- Bake at 250 to 275 degrees, watch closely.
