Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups flour – scant

Directions

  1. Melt ½ cup shortening in ¼ cup scalded milk
  2. 1 egg beaten
  3. Add milk, shortening, egg and yeast mixture to flour, sugar, salt.
  4. Mix thoroughly. Knead a little then let rise 1 hour and form into rolls. Rise 1 hour more and bake in hot oven
  5. 450 degree for 10 to 12 minutes
