Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup lard or margarine
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 pkg chocolate chips
- 2 cups rolled oats
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients, Cream lard and sugar until light and fluffy, Add eggs, hot water and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients, nuts, chips and oats.
- Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 50 to 60 cookies.
